769 Hornby Street, Vancouver
Okay, so I have been MIA for way too long. As I mentioned in the news section, I have entering another chapter of my life: being a mother. It was pretty tough in the beginning with lots of challenges, but we got through it all (remember all new mommies, it will get better as they grow older, so hang in there ^^). Now my baby is 5 month old, and I am finally finding some time to myself, so I guess I will get back to blogging. This blog will probably change from it's usual food/travel to everything about life, I hope you will continue to enjoy it. Once again, thanks for reading :).
Faubourg has also been on my go-to list for dessert, but most times it's just too out of the way for us. So when I heard they opened a new downtown location, I was pretty happy.
Fancy and elegant decor
- lots of bright natural lighting
- perfect place for relaxing, studying or meeting up with friends.
- buttery and flaky with a hint of sweetness, perfect for those who don't have a sweet tooth
- my favourite is still double baked almond croissant from Thomas Haas with a filling inside
- abundant of fresh blueberries
- crispy, buttery crust
- creamy, not overly sweet custard
We also ordered two drinks: tea latte and an americano. I liked my light tasting, slightly sweet tea latte with just the right amount of creaminess. R's americano is pretty standard. Sorry I can't recall the price for everything, but it was pretty in line with all other coffee/bakery shops of this kind.
Overall, Faubourg is a perfect place for some good dessert and decent coffee. They also have a small patio for the sunny days, which is great for people watching. I would definitely recommend it if you need a place to rest your feet while shopping or walking around in downtown.
